An interactive poll run by Harris has revealed that British adults drink more alcohol than those adults living in Germany, France, Italy and Spain. The poll revealed that 27 percent of Brits drink more than the recommended weekly limit of alcohol whereas only 10 percent of the aforementioned main land European countries do.
The poll also showed that a third of Britains drink several times a week whereas only a fifth of other EU countries.
Perhaps surprisingly, the poll also revealed that the drink of choice is spirits whereas, unsurprisingly the drinks of choice in Germany and France are beer and wine.
The final point of interest in the Harris poll shows that on average 16 percent of all British men and 20 percent of all British women are tee-total, whereas 31 percent of all Americans and 19 percent of all EU adults don't drink alcohol.
