Running on a treadmill in front of a mirror can improve your fitness and running performance, claim researchers.

Seeing yourself run helps co-ordination and allows you to control limbs, which in turn means a better running style, smoother movement and improved performance.

Researchers as Teeside University found that that running in front of a treadmill can dramatically aid those people new to running. They also noted that a better running style also improves fitness even at a less demanding exercise level.
