5 easy steps to boost your appearance
We can't all look like movie stars and pop idols but these days men are judged on their appearance as much as women are. Don't believe me? Look at the latest magazines in your local shop and you'll see men with sx packs and beautiful faces on the front cover of most health mags aimed at men and model-types and athletic physiques in most women's mags.
So with that in mind we have create a 5 step guide to making the most of yourself.
Ask most women and they will go for a clean shaven face everytime. Most only does it look cleaner, it also feels much better when kissing. Not so sure? Ok, who would you rather kiss, Cameron Diaz or your mate Dave?
Recent research shows that many poeple's first impressions rely upon a person's face and tidiness. Getting a new hair cut, in this case, cleans two birds with one stone. A new sharper hair cut will frame your face better while also showing that you do in fact care about your appearance.
There is nothing better than a made to measure suit. A tailor-made suit will show off your physique in its best light, without showing off your unnaturally long arms or slightly girly hips. Of course a made to measure suits don't usually come cheap. So my tip would be to buy one tailored suit and a few other off the shelf suits. Then wear the tailored suit only when appearances really do matter - that interview for a new job, that killer presentation, a new hot date etc.
Ok, maybe this doesn't actually count as an 'appearance tip' because aftershave (usually) isn't visible. However, smell is one of the strongest senses when it comes to memory. Wear too much aftershave when meeting someone and next time your name is mentioned you can bet that your name will trigger thoughts of Old Spice and CK1.
The best tip when it comes to wearing aftershave is simply less is more. A small drop under the chin and around th shape of the face is fine. But splashing it around your chest and down your boxers is a no-no.
Yellow stained teeth and fingers is never going to be attractive. Neither is hair and clothing smelling of smoke. Not only that but with the UK wide ban of smoking in public places, smoking may mean that you have to stand outside in the rain and cold simply to get your nicotine fix whilst all those non smokers are inside the pubs and restuarants having a good time in the warmth.
