Children's Health Related Fitness course
The AMAC Sports Children's Health Related Fitness course is aimed at those who wish to run health-related exercise sessions for children and those who are already running such sessions without a formal qualification.
Who should do the Children's Health Related Fitness course?
It’s also ideal for leisure attendants, after-school club leaders, youth workers, primary school teachers and fitness instructors who just want to extend their range of skills by adapting exercise programmes to meet the needs of children. Certification will depend upon successful screening by CRB (Criminal Records Bureau). Vaild CPR certificate required.
Course content
The AMAC Sports Children's Health Related Fitness training course content includes:
- Anatomical and physiological changes that take place in children
- Exercise for children at different growth stages
- Range of class structures
- Child pshychology/motivation
- Nutrition in relation to children
- Safety and potential contra-indications
- OFSTED standards individuals are required to meet if they are to work with children

Certifications and qualifications
The AMAC Sports Children's Health Related Fitness training course is accredited by Central YMCA. The course will give graduates a Central YMCA Certificate in Instructing Health Related Fitness for Children Level 2.
