Extensor Pollicis Brevis and Longus
Extensor pollicis brevis and longus are muscles which are recruited during the extension of the wrist and the thumb.
Having a high population of slow twitch fibres, the extensor pollicis brevis and longus would may be best trained using a higher repetition range. It is little wonder why such a heavily used muscle has an abundance of slow twitch fibres, contracting many time during the day to perform gripping and other activities.
