Biceps Brachii Long Head
As the name suggests, the biceps brachii muscle is a two headed muscle located to the front of the upper arm, composing of a short and long head. The long head is situated to the outside area of the upper arm, and is responsible for the "peak" of the biceps. Being one of the most flexed muscles on the bodybuilding stage, the biceps has commonly been a muscle which illustrates size and power.
Recruited heavily during row and pull exercises, the biceps are well stimulated from many commonly used back exercises. Isolation exercises can be included to directly target the biceps, with variations of the arm curl used.
When training for muscular size it is often best to train in a rep range of 6-12 repetitions, although there is often much debate on the optimal rep range. It would be advisable to experiment with different ranges to see which suits you.
