Matt Damon workout: Get a body like Matt Damon

Matt Damon, the Hollywood star of such films as The Borne trilogy, Ocean's 11, 12 and 13, Good Will Hunting and Dogma looks like he is know stranger to the gym. It looks like Matt Damon takes his diet and fitness seriously enough to workout even while away from filming; you never see Matt Damon in Heat Magazine with a flabby belly or with a less than 100% beefcake physique.

The Matt Damon workout

Like his friend Ben Afleck, Matt Damon looks like he hits both the weights room and cardiovascular exercise to stay in shape. But what would the Matt Damon workout consist of? We think the Matt Damon exercise routine would look something like this.

Matt Damon's resistance workout

Matt Damon has a balanced physique, which indicates he workouts his lower and upper body, as well as opposing muscle groups with similar intensity. He also looks like he concentrates on big movements which allows him to pack on muscle quickly. So perhaps the Matt Damon resistance workout would look something like this:

  • Bench press
  • Incline press
  • Dumbbell shoulder press
  • Squats
  • Jump squats
  • Deadlift
  • Pull ups
  • Bent over rows

Matt Damon's fitness workout

Matt Damon looks like he has a low body fat level. This means two things.

  1. A clean diet - low levels of carbs and fats
  2. Cardiovascular / aerobic workouts

Usually low levels of body fat mean between 3 to 5 CV workouts a week - and I'd suggest Matt Damon is no different. CV work can include:

  • Jogging
  • Cycling
  • Swimming
  • Boxing
  • Circuit training

Note: Don't work too hard in your CV works overwise you may sacrifice the muscle mass gained from resistance workouts.
