Usher workout: Get a body like Usher

 

R & B, rap and pop singer, song-writer and film star Usher is a man of many talents. Not least of these talents is the ability to look fit and fantastic even when undertaking gruelling tours across the world.

The Usher workout

Usher is someone who works hard to maintain a great physique even when the temptation would be to take it easy before an high energy / body sapping concert. However, Usher's body weight workouts give him the strength, tone and flexibility to pump up his energy levels before a show.

The Usher resistance workout

Usher is a firm believer in working out using his own body weight. This means Usher undertakes exercises which are less about how much weight he can shift and is more about using strength to push, pull and use his own weight to get fit and lean.This means multiple sets of:
  • Press ups
  • Stability ball press ups
  • Pull ups
  • Bodyweight squats
  • Jump squats
  • Squat thrusts
  • Crunches
  • Sit ups
  • Leg raises
  • Punching
  • PNF stretches - partner assisted stretches with the help of a friend / trainer
The Usher fitness workoutMake no mistake Usher's high energy dancing on stage, and practicing his moves off stage, will give him a good level of fitness. Such dynamic moves are right up there with jogging when it comes to increasing fitness.
